Sleepover in an ancient theme park

My first visit to Venice. It’s a bit like having a sleepover in an ancient theme park, but over 50,000 people still actually live here and not all of them are working in tourism. That said, there are an awful lot of shops selling Venetian glass! I was hooked with just wandering, with my favourite wander around dusk after the best Jewish-Italian meal ever at the Gam Gam restruatuant in the Ghetto area (our hotel was just around the corner).

  1. Great photos – particularly like the one of the gondola making its way through the narrow canal next to the houses. Imagine living so close to the canal!
