When I was a child I thought the glass walls streaming with water at the entrance to the National Gallery in Victoria were amazing. They are still there, with the gallery now housing an impressive international collection of art with the Australian works housed in the new gallery on Federation Square down the road. My youngest hadn’t visited the international gallery before, and I wondered if her reaction would be the same as mine was. She saw the water streaming down the entry walls, declared it awesome, and then joined all the others trailing their fingers through the wall of water. This photo was taken with my iPhone through the watery glass. She looks so much like a painting I couldn’t resist running the picture through a few art filters on my phone.
