18 years ago we survived Y2K (reaching the year 2000) New Years Eve in Port Fairy, Victoria. Time to celebrate New Year’s Eve with friends there again. They still have a street parade and band performance on Fiddlers Corner, before midnight fireworks and free pancakes. Wonderful to be staying in a 100 year old house just a few minutes walk from all the action. The photos here are from the days just before December 31, when the Southern Ocean weather turned cool and the beaches were windy and mysterious.
